Here is a small selection of photographs taken of our young people who received their First Holy Communion recently.  

26 young people from the Bearna/Na Forbacha area travelled with a team of adult leaders to Germany to take part in the annual Festival of Light which is held in the beautiful Altenberg area near Cologne.  This event is attended by many young people from all over Europe and our group joined with a group of young people from Gort for their first participation in this event. 

They were in receipt of fine hospitality from Ute, Dora and the rest of the staff in Altenberg for the duration of their stay.

They even managed to fit in some liturgical activities in between sightseeing in Cologne with trips to an adventure park, the zoo and many more interesting places.

Word back is that the BBQ\\\'s served the finest of food and they kept returning for more succulent meats.

 

On Wednesday March 16th we celebrated our national Patron’s Day with our Ceiliúradh
Phádraig. This was an evening of celebration in music, story, song and ritual. Our thanks to
Gearóid MacEoin who gave us an insight into the origin and meaning of St Patrick’s
Breastplate: Lúireach Phádraig; to Patti Gibbons and Michael Mooney for the music; to the
members of the Community Group for organising the hospitality; and to the members of the
Senior Youth Group and their leaders who prepared the beautiful, meaningful ritual. All who
attended enjoyed the spirit and the comhluadar. The children of Create and Believe who reinacted Saint Patricks life at 10 mass and Louise\'s dancers... Thank you one and all.....     Go mbeirimid go léir beo ag an am seo arís
