Where can you start to say a big thank you to Fr Frankie? The ABBA song comes to mind of course, “Thank you for the music…” and while his gift for music was a wonderful asset to our celebrations of all kinds it is only a fraction what he brought to his ministry in the community of Bearna /Na Forbacha. Fr Frankie, each person will have his/her own memory of you. We won’t forget you and all you have brought to us. We hope that you will take good memories of us with you, that you will have been nourished by your time with us and that you may be assured of a welcome here with us always. We hope and pray that our testament to your time with us will be a continuing and strengthening of the work you have done with the Pastoral Team and all our groups, a continued love and practice of music and a serious commitment to all the young people of the parish for whom you have shone a light. We wish you well as you go from here and want you to know that you have earned a very special place in our hearts. Beannacht Dé ort i gcónaí.

Notre Dame Folk Choir, of Notre Dame University, South Bend Indiana USA. joined in a special celebration Mass for students who are about to sit Exams. The theme was Keeping the Candle Lit: and students and their families and friends had a chance to bring their candle and place it on the Alter. Readings and prayers were selected to offer support and help to students.  Music was beautiful and the congregation joined in making the night a great  sucess, On behalf of the Pastoral Team a very sincere and big thank you to all who helped  It was a wonderful community celebration. A thousand thanks to all of you who opened your homes, provided hospitality and warm beds and something hot to eat, and especially thanks to you for allowing us to join in your liturgy for all the certificate students. There is nothing so powerful as the opportunity to pray together; throughout the Irish countryside we have had the privilege of joining together with many people, walking with them in their intentions and joining our voices in song. Please continue to pray for us as we make our way to Scotland. And best of luck to your young

The Taizé prayer hour is a quiet time of reflection using the famous Taizé chants many of which are already familiar. It offers a chance to unwind after the week; to spiritually recharge for the weekend, in a gentle, meditave atmosphere mixing silence,chants & Scripture in beautiful candle light. Mark your calendar for the last Friday of each month.
