ST BRIGID's Day
Wednesday 1st of February

We will celebrate Mass for the Feast of St Brigid at 10am on Wednesday, February 1st. All are welcome.

We invite you to make some Brigid’s crosses during the week and bring them to mass next Sunday (February 5th) where they will be blessed.

St. Brigid's cross
Here’s how to make a simple St Brigid’s cross.
You will need some rushes or reeds and some string or elastic bands to tie the ends of the cross. 1. Loop the horizontal reed around the vertical reed. 2. Loop the next vertical reed around the horizontal reed. 3. Now loop the next horizontal reed· around both vertical reeds. 4. Then loop a vertical reed around both horizontal reed. 5.  Finally loop a horizontal reed around both vertical reeds going down. Repeat stages 1-5 approx 4 times. Tie the ends and trim.

 Prayer to St. Brigid
Brigid you were a woman of peace,
You brought harmony where there was conflict.
You brought light into the darkness.
You brought hope to the downcast.
May the mantle of your peace
Cover those who are troubled and·anxious.
And may peace be firmly rooted
In our hearts and in our world.

Amen.

NOTICE FOR PARENTS FROM THE LEADERS OF OUR CIRCLE OF CARE GROUP

Create & Believe (6‐8 yrs) and Faith & Fun (4‐6yrs) are changing the time they meet. There has been a time clash with other activities for the 6‐8 age groups and so the leaders of Create & Believe and Faith & Fun have decided to change times to see if it will suit better.
On and from next Saturday, February 4th, C&B will meet in the Crannóg Prefab in the car‐park from 12noon ‐1pm. Faith and Fun will meet in the Cillín from 12 noon‐1pm.  We hope this change will encourage more children to come along and join in the fun with the leaders.
